Dreamy Winter Elopement at a Waterfall in Alaska
What more is there to say? A. FROZEN. WATERFALL. Who else wouldn’t want to witness this? Dakota and Bailey were one of the many couple’s who had to postpone their wedding due to covid-19. They originally planned to do a traditional large wedding with their friends and family. But due to life and careers moving your location, they decided to elope now and party later!
Dakota and Bailey decided to elope at a frozen waterfall known as Barbara Falls in Eagle River, Alaska. They could have opt for the traditional mountain landscape, but due to unpredictable winter forecast in Alaska, they didn’t want their mountain view backdrop to be covered by clouds and fog. So they decided on a beautiful waterfall.
Their day was completely “their day.”
Dakota and Bailey had their two beautiful sweet dogs Penny and Glute join them for the elopement. We took some sweet family pictures before the ceremony. I believe everyone should incorporate their dogs during their elopement or wedding.
We hiked with our ice cleats to the frozen waterfall. Set up the phone to do a facebook live stream for friends and family to watch, and had a sweet and short ceremony. After saying I do and making it official, these two took some dreamy photos in front of the waterfall! You’ll see ——. They brought a beautiful cake by The Frost Boss Custom Cakes and had a ski shot by to celebrate their perfect day!
One thing I loved about their elopement day was they made it all about them! They had their dogs to join, went on a short hike, added a beautiful cake, and took a shot with their favorite bourbon. Anyone else inspired by their beautiful day? Keep scrolling to check out their dreamy elopement.
