1. Beluga Point

Located south of Anchorage, Alaska and off the Seward highway is a scenic stop called “Beluga Point.” A famous spot to watch Beluga whales make their way north during high tide in the summer. Other than that it is a great location to watch the sunset and take some beautiful pictures.

2. Glen Alps Trailhead

Located in Anchorage, Alaska is a drive up the mountain to get to the starting point of the Flattop trail. Park and walk a few feet to see the beautiful vast mountains in Anchorage - Chugach State Park. This location is perfect if you want to stay in the city, but get those iconic Alaska views.

3. Hatcher Pass

Located an hour north of Anchorage is the breathtaking mountains of Hatcher Pass. TBH - my favorite spot. Here you will get epic mountain views and the famous red cabins. You can make your way to Summit Lake or the Hatcher Pass Lodges for your photos.

4. Kincaid Sand Dunes

Located in Anchorage, Alaska is something you would not expect - SAND DUNES! Yes, you’ll get sandy moroccan vibes with the Alaska mountains and ocean in the background. What more do I need to say?

5. Chugach State Park North Fork Eagle River

Located in a town north of Anchorage, Alaska is Eagle River. This location is perfect if you want the woods, river, and mountain landscape.

6. Barbara Falls

Located in Eagle River, Alaska is the beautiful falls known as Barbara Falls. It’s a short (less than a mile) and muddy hike to the falls. You can get some epic photos in and around the falls.

7. Eklutna Lake

Located an hour north of Anchorage, Alaska is this beautiful glacier fed lake called Eklutna Lake. Imagine crystal blue waters with vast mountains surrounding the lake. It’s as magical as it sounds!

8. Eklutna Tailrace

Located 30 minutes north of Anchorage is the beautiful crystal blue stream of Eklutna Tailrace. This location has multiple sceneries.

9. Byron Glacier

Located 1.5 hours south of Anchorage near Whittier, Alaska is Byron Glacier. This glacier is a 2 mile hike round trip. You will get mountains surrounding you in every direction and will get some glacier pics.

10. McHugh Creek

Located south of Anchorage off the Seward highway is Mchugh Creek. Yes - there is a creek which you can get some amazing photos with, but even better are the cliff views of the Turnagain Arm. Here you will see epic mountain views and the ocean.
