DON'T SETTLE! : How to find the photographer best suited for you.

Planning a wedding is every bit of exciting as it can be a headache and filled with stress.  A big part of your wedding day is your photographer. Your photographer is with you majority of the day.  They are there when you are getting ready, first look, family and wedding formal photos, ceremony, and reception.  They are there the entire day along your side, telling you how to pose, communicating with your vendors and maid of honor, etc. Hopefully you like your photographer.  Here are some tips on finding a photographer best suited for your wedding day.

Tip 1: Do you love their photos?  Emphasis on love. The photos that you will receive are photos you will be looking back your entire life, photos your children and grandchildren will see. Make sure you know their (the photographer) style, and can imagine your wedding day in their photos.

Tip 2: Do they fit your budget? Yikes, money! It plays a huge part in your wedding.  Weddings are pricey, and photographers can be too. How much are you willing to pay for your photographer? Photographers vary in what they include in their prices.  Before you hear a number, ask what you will be receiving. Will you get a welcome package? Maybe a complimentary customized album along with your photos? Possibly their wedding package comes with a complimentary engagement session or bridal session.  Know what you are paying for before you decide!

Tip 3: Do you like them? Uh huh, this is freaking important.  This person is with you ALL DAY on one of your biggest days of your life.  Make sure you can connect with them. They should be able to make you feel comfortable.  Are they nice? Are they organized? Get to know your photographer through their website in their “about me” section or stalk their Instagram.  Take time to know if you guys would be a good fit.
