I moved to San Antonio early April 2023. Moving a business is hard. Having to find clientele and gain trust in the community is hard. I’m so grateful for couples like Tanisha and Wills who reached out to me early summer of 2023 to start planning their elopement with me. I was amazed this couple took a chance on me to photograph their elopement in Austin, Texas.

These two lived in San Antonio for a couple of years and always wanted to visit Austin, and spend a good amount of time getting to know the city. That’s exactly hat they accomplished for their elopement and honeymoon. These two eloped at the courthouse at the capitol of Texas - Austin. The next day they got back into their wedding attire and met up with me at Zilker Botanical Garden. Here we explored the beautiful city park and captured the amazing photos you’ll see in this blog. It’s hard to believe this park is in the center of Austin, Texas. The lush trees and greenery transports you into a wonderland of gardens. Towards the end of the park you’ll find a breathtaking outlook looking over Zilker Park and the Austin skyline.

Tanisha and Wills met in college playing a pickup game of basketball! How adorable and sounds like something you would only hear about in a romantic comedy. They still play lots of basketball together and love watching basketball. So of course we had to get some pictures of them at the court shooting some hoops. They did a quick change into matching sweats and nikes. Their dogs came along and watched them play ball.
It’s so important to make these photos feel like you. When you show your friends and family your elopement, you want to show them you did things you loved on your special day. As a San Antonio and Austin, Texas elopement photographer, I hope to see more couples incorporating more activities into their elopement day.
