Warm and Sunny Anniversary Photos at the Red Rocks in Sedona, Arizona
A warm and sunny day with the sweetest couple in Sedona, Arizona.
Whit and Elvira and I left Phoenix, Arizona in the early a.m. to beat the weekend traffic to Sedona, Arizona. The drive Interstate 17 goes through many different ecosystems. Starting from Phoenix, you will see: Saguaro cacti, vast mountain ranges, snow covered mountain tops, deep valleys, and of course the rare and breathtaking red rocks of Sedona, Arizona.
Red Rocks, Red Rocks, Red Rocks!
Once you enter Sedona, you’re breath will be taken away! Mine was the first time and still does every time I go . We headed to the famous Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock for some epic photos. These two hikes get REALLY busy. We arrived in Sedona at 9 a.m. and were lucky enough to find last parking spaces. Parking for Sedona, AZ hikes are $5 - just a lil heads up. On this September day the heat was almost unbearable for Sedona. The heat was mid-90s, which is fine if you’re in Phoenix, but is rare for Sedona weather. BRING WATER. Hiking or taking pictures, you’ll need it.
We got some fun photos at Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock plus a secret location. It was a blast with these two friends of mine. Afterwards we knew we burned enough calories for some good Mexican food. We headed to Javelina Cantina for some grub and air conditioning. Then headed to the shops of Sedona. My favorite is the Tlaquepaque (fashioned after a traditional Mexican village.)
Whit, Elvira and I had so much fun exploring the red rocks and shops of Sedona. Anytime I have adventure sessions in this area I love to make a whole day out of it with my couples.
Enjoy these fun anniversary photos and I hope to see you in Sedona!
