Alaska Fall Backyard Wedding
Romantic Fall Backyard Wedding in Alaska
This backyard wedding was a backyard wedding of dreams. First off it was during the Fall time in Alaska which is breathtaking, and everything was DIY’d and cultivated with much love. Backyard weddings can be whatever you want because it’s in your backyard. Mercedes and Colton wanted an intimate celebration with their friends and family. I was able to capture their perfect day. We all witnessed an uninvited guest show up seconds before the start of the ceremony (you’ll just have to look at the photos). Mercedes and Colton’s estate was minutes away from the beautiful Beluga Point, so we were able to travel there for some portraits after the ceremony. And of course the wind speeds were crazy and on top of that it started raining. We managed and created some epic memories.
After some magical portraits at Beluga Point, we headed back to their estate to join the rest of the party. Mercedes and Colton had the famous Moose’s Tooth pizza for their dinner. I’m a huge fan of Moose’s Tooth, and was so excited to hear that they were having it catered (Moose’s Tooth is a must if you visit Anchorage, AK btw). They had their first dance to “Can’t Help Falling In Love” in gorgeous green and golden backyard. And ended off the celebration with cake cutting under the rain. Rain held off on us all day until the cake cutting. This day was so magical and sweet.
Here’s to more backyard weddings and doing whatever the hell you want on your wedding day.
